Most people who drink tea and know about tea, know that black tea falls under many different categories. Some of the most popular varieties are orange pekoe, earl grey, and English breakfast. Everyone has seen them stacked on the shelves in your grocery store. And until recently, just about all of what you would see would be in the form of the tea bag. Even now, bagged varieties are still most common. But as any true tea connoisseur would know, drinking black tea from a tea bag is only scratching the surface.

To truly appreciate the full flavor and body of a good black tea, it must be consumed in loose leaf form. There really is no alternative when it comes to taste and health benefits. If you’ve ever wanted to know “why should I drink loose leaf black tea,” just keep reading and you will find out.

Black tea is fermented and processed more than the other varieties of tea, resulting in a much fuller, richer color and flavor. And since it comes from the same plant as green tea, it still yields many of the same health benefits. The reason for drinking it in loose leaf form is because when the leaves are whole, they retain their full antioxidant level. This means greater health benefits. Plus, when the hot water circulates around the full leaf in your cup, the flavor is infinitely greater than from a tea bag.

Inside a tea bag is an almost powdered form of tea leaf, called fannings. With the extremely cramped quarters of the bag, it is almost impossible for the water to circulate in such a way that results in maximum flavor. So, why should I drink loose leaf black tea? You should drink it because it is healthier and far tastier than a bag. If you are going to become involved in this world of tea, might as well go all out and do it right, don’t you think?

And if you are going to go all out, might as well find a place that specializes in tea. You’ll find a wide variety of both loose leaf and bagged gourmet black teas that are affordable and full of flavor when you click here now: Taste Indulgence Teas
